Worship Confessional: June 14th, 2009
Crazy weekend.
My wife’s Grandmother, the spiritual matriarch of our extended family went home to be with the Lord yesterday afternoon. This whole last week has been emotionally exhausting for Rachel and her family. Of course it then be the week that I had assigned her to lead Grace in worship. I was playing electric guitar, so I picked out all female led songs. Check out the video confessional below:

So sorry to hear of your loss. I pray God’s peace and comfort be with you and your family.
Wow. Wow. That WAS quite a week you had. I imagine that by the end of your last worship service you felt a bit relieved.
Thanks for being willing to share your experiences, good and bad. Thanks for being a leader that actually HAS the difficult conversations. Great work, Brian. Don’t give up.
So sorry to hear about Rachel’s grandmother. God bless you guys and give you peace during this time.
And those times are tough - having to take someone off team rotation/have those “it’s not working out” discussions. I’m dealing with that now again with a drummer as well. The toughest thing is getting that balance of protecting the integrity and anointing on the team and helping that individual to grow. I’ve had to do a lot of live-and-learn as a worship leader in that area. Praying all goes well with that for you guys and that he WILL get on board with all God wants to do in and through him.
Blessings.
